F&H Chosen As Label Of The Month Out Of 800 Labels
F&H have had a great write up in the 'Independent Music Supplement' of the Independent newspaper. "It feels so good to think that a national newspaper's written about the label as opposed to one of our acts" comments Faith & Hope's David Wood, "There's about eight hundred labels in AIM, our industry organisation, and I feel totally honoured that we've been picked out as their label of the month in the label profile section of the feature".

Faith & Hope Shortlisted For The Independent
On the 4th of July [2008] the 'Independent' newspaper is celebrating 'Independents Day', a new annual initiative from AIM (The Association of Independent Music) designed to raise awareness and celebrate the importance and success of independently released music across the globe. The newspaper have short listed several labels to feature including Faith & Hope.

Faith & Hope Sign Leeds Band 'Buen Chico'
Faith & hope are delighted to announce the signing of the Leeds band 'Buen Chico'. The three piece (Morgan - guitar & vocals / Kirsty - bass & vocals / Al - drums) signed a long term deal on Friday.
"Ever since he recorded his first ep at school Morgan's had the London A&R men battering down his door. This has been one of the most fiercely fought A&R battles we've had" commented Faith & Hope's David Wood.
Buen Chico have recorded tracks in the past with producer David Kosten (who's previous collaborations include Michael Stipe and Chris Martin) which were paid for by EMI but Buen Chico met their 'future home' when Faith & Hope's scout Ben Hennessey Snell heard them just before they won the 'Future Sounds' competition at 'The Cockpit' in Leeds which gave the band the chance to play 'The Leeds Festival'. A gig in London alongside the 'Kaiser Chiefs' also brought Buen Chico to NME's attention and they asked if they could include one of Buen Chico's tracks on their "Best of 2005" compilation album as one of their tips for 2005 along with 'The Rakes' and 'The Departure'. The Album went on to be a 'Top 10' in the iTunes chart.
Buen Chico songs are a fiery mix of pop new wave, motown, alternative indie and punk, inspired by the likes of Supergrass, The Ramones, The Smiths, Weezer, The Flaming Lips, The Pixies and The Beatles. The band will be working directly with Faith & Hope's founder and director Neil Claxton. "Buen Chico is the first of two major signings for us this year and I'm really excited and looking forward to working with them" commented Neil.

Faith & Hope In Hollywood This Week
Faith & Hope's representatives Sue Crawshaw and Tony Pope are in Hollywood this week for the Billboard Film and TV Conference in Los Angeles. The British government through the UKTI (UK Trade and Investment) and the BPI (British Phonographic Industry) have highlighted Faith & Hope as one of the most successful British record labels to licence music to American film studios and have lined up a series of private meetings with some of the most influential people in the US film, TV and radio industries for us.
The BPI estimate that licensing to film and TV (known as synch licensing) is worth over twenty five million pounds a year to UK labels. Faith & Hope's David Wood said: "The synch market for Faith & Hope is now equally as important as physical and download sales. This year we've licensed tracks to major film and advertising companies and we're hoping that the mission to the Billboard conference will raise our profile in the US and replicate the success we've achieved so far in Europe. Faith & Hope's film, TV & advertising synchs include, Vanilla Sky, Serendipity, Hot Chicks, The Fighting Temptations, Bad Company, Get Carter, New York Minute, LAX , VW (Gene Kelly Golf GTi), Vodafone, Mars, Kellogg's Corn Flakes, Mentos, BBC Radio 1 and Mint Skittles, Malcolm In The Middle, Spaced, Shameless, Toyota, Queer As Folk, to name a few

Mint Royale's 'The Effect On Me' On Radio 1
Jo Whiley played the next Mint Royale single 'the effect on me' on Radio 1 today, describing the track as 'gorgeous'. 'the effect on me' had it's first Radio 1 airing a couple of weeks ago when Sara Cox, standing in for Jo Whiley, ended her show with the track which will be released on 21st November. She thought is was 'beautiful'.

Fraction Sign To faith & hope
After one of the biggest A&R chases in Manchester for a long time faith & hope are delighted to confirm today that the band 'Fraction' have signed to faith & hope.
The Manchester four piece who have recently been working in the studio with faith & hope's Neil Claxton include Robbie Roberts (guitar & vocals), Toby Gawne (guitar, keyboards & vocals), Ben Watts (bass & vocals) and Barney Ibbotson (drums).
"Everyone at faith & hope are absolutely delighted that Fraction have signed to us" said faith & hope's David Wood "we'd love to release their first single in early October".
